Is the Government Hiding UFOs?

For decades there has been much speculation about life in space if otherworldly beings actually exist. For some, there is no doubt that they do. And for others, they are less convinced, hacking it all up to some conspiracy theory of some sort.

And while the jury is still out on whether or not we are alone in the universe, we do have to wonder why our government seems to be so very secretive on the matter. Why won’t anyone at the Pentagon talk about UFOs, UAPs, or whatever else extraterrestrial beings are being presently called?

The answer, according to Tom Rogan from the Washington Examiner, is made up of several parts.

Firstly, Rogan suggests that the government sees these beings as potential threats. However, they don’t really have any idea about how we should or even can handle them. And frankly, that scares the crap out of them. With that being said, they believe admitting that to the public will created terror and panic for the people so they would rather keep their mouths shut entirely.

He says that most of this fear from the government on the issue comes from nuclear proximity.

“What I believe is really going on here is that the few individuals in the U.S. government who know about this issue believe the phenomena might be a threat. And that they don’t know how to deal with it. So what informs the government’s fear? Well, first off, the nuclear issue.”

According to much research, most UFO sightings reported by military personnel tend to take place near nuclear-powered aircraft carrier groups, nuclear-powered submarines, and Air Force bases with nuclear weapons. Rogan’s article further explains that of those sightings, some have been more experiences than just seeing something.

Military footage and documents from the Freedom of Information Act prove that some of these “vehicles” seem to be controlled by something with superior intelligence. Furthermore, they have the abilities to far supersede any kind of military prowess or technology that either the U.S., China, or Russia currently have access to. One witness said that these vehicles made our military endeavors “look like an absurd joke in comparison.”

And others have reported serious injury from them, such as one case in Russia where several pilots and multiple jets where downed trying to allegedly combat UFOs.

However, some are convinced that the government continues to keep these secrets because they know a heck of a lot more than they are letting on. That isn’t to say that we should believe everything we hear from conspiracy theorists on the issue.

But there is evidence that supports there is more. Take the Nimitz encounter, for example. Multiple sailors present said they viewed much longer and higher quality videos on the supposed UAP than what was released to the public. Some also said that they then saw men without military insignia show up and take all data related to the event.

The government and, in particular, the Pentagon has a habit of claiming that nearly everything is to be kept as a secret until it is proven harmless. And it is apparent this is one such topic that hasn’t been deemed as safe. The question is: while it’s clear that it could be a “national security” issue, is it one that really needs to be kept from us?

For those that claim all of these events are merely military efforts to keep our own technology hidden, the answer is a resounding yes. And we could say we might agree. After all, if the government has some stealth or secret weapons that could be used against our enemies, it’s probably best that only a few know about it.

But what it is extraterrestrial? Would it really be more harmful to let us know what’s going on, especially if we can’t really do anything about it anyway?

Maybe Rogan is right. It could create some sort of panic knowing that there is something out there that our government can’t handle.

Whatever the case, alien or not, Rogan says we must “keep pushing this issue…It will take time, but we’ll get to the truth eventually.” And I hope we do. But I’m not holding my breath much. It’s been how many years since the supposed UFO incident in Roswell, New Mexico, and we aren’t any closer to knowing what really happened. Was it alien, was it not? At this rate, we may never know.
