One of the strangest things to happen during the COVID pandemic was watching Canada turn into a dictatorship almost overnight. All Canadian rights and freedoms were revoked to protect people from a virus that turned out not to be very dangerous. In the latest example of tyranny to our north, the Canadian government is moving to crush an Amish community because they didn’t use smartphones during COVID.

During the health scare, the government made it mandatory for everyone to download the government’s ArriveCan tracking app on their smartphones. The Amish don’t use smartphones, as everyone knows. They eschew all modern technology as a foundational principle of their religious faith.

For refusing to obey the government and for not violating their religious faith, the Amish community in Chatsworth, Ontario has been fined $300,000. The Amish don’t even use electricity, let alone smartphones. They also have a religious exemption from taking any government-forced medicines like the COVID mRNA shots (which are not vaccines).

The Canadian government under Justin Trudeau has even placed liens on the Amish farms until they pay up. The Amish can no longer obtain loans and they can’t transfer land titles within families, otherwise, the government will seize their farms completely.

If you want a preview of what America would look like under a “President” Kamala Harris, just look at Canada. Under the leftist mindset, all rights and freedoms are privileges that can be revoked if you don’t do exactly what Big Nanny Kamala says.

Why can’t the Canadian government just leave the Amish alone? They’re peaceful people who represent no threat to the government or anyone else. Leftists cannot leave anyone alone. Everyone must submit to their will and if you refuse, you and your family will be destroyed.
