Democrats Call for Censorship of Elon Musk’s Grok AI Because Its Spicy Memes are ‘Dangerous to Democracy’

Proving once again that Democrats are humorless authoritarian scolds, a group of leftwing Representatives is calling on the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to censor an Artificial Intelligence (AI) program. It’s not just any AI software they’re going after. They want the FEC to censor the AI program that Elon Musk has made available to the public on X.com. It turns out that Musk’s AI software is very good at churning out spicy memes that mock Democrats. And if there’s one thing that the communists running the US government cannot stand, it’s when we all point and laugh at them.

If you’re not familiar with Musk’s AI, it’s called “Grok.” We’re actually on version Grok-2 now. Even the name of the AI is a tongue-in-cheek joke at the expense of authoritarian illiterates who have never read a book. If you don’t grok the concept, then the joke’s on you.

A group of Democrats led by Rep. Shontel Brown (D-OH) is asking the FEC to revise 52 USC 30124, known as the Law Against Fraudulent Misrepresentation. It’s a law that prohibits candidates, campaign employees, or PACs under a candidate’s control from fraudulently misrepresenting themselves. It’s sort of like a rule that says candidates can’t lie about themselves.

This why Democrats are constantly having to scrub their websites and bios whenever they’re caught lying—which is often. Kamala Harris’s running mate, Tim Walz, for example, has lied for years about being a combat veteran. He also lied about his rank when he retired from the National Guard.

When the public found out that Tim Walz is a disgusting stolen valor fraud, all the lies about his military service were scrubbed from the campaign website. Likewise, Kamala Harris has been running around for years claiming that she once had a job at McDonald’s. It’s a deception designed to convince low-info voters that Kamala is just like them, and not a wealthy Canadian of Indian-Jamaican heritage who was born with a silver spoon up her bum. The McDonald’s lie is being scrubbed from Kamala’s record right now.

The Democrats want the FEC to revise the law against fraudulent misrepresentation so that it prohibits Elon Musk’s Grok AI from making memes. The obvious problem with their argument is twofold. First, they’re asking a government agency to directly violate the First Amendment rights of American citizens. They’re not even hiding it any longer.

The Democrats have become the party of censorship and authoritarianism. It’s one of the reasons why RFK, Jr. has aligned with the Trump campaign this year. The government doesn’t get to censor the opinions of American citizens. Period. Yet that is exactly what the Democrats are asking the FEC to do.

Second, Donald Trump is not the one making memes on Grok and posting them on X. Trump supporters are doing that and they’re not under the control of his campaign. The law specifically applies to candidates, their campaigns, and their PACs—not to everyday people who happen to support Donald Trump.

The Democrats are arguing that the image generation feature on Grok is “dangerous to democracy,” which is the new code for “anything that makes Democrats look bad.” Throughout history, the people who censored others have never been the good guys. The Democrats hate memes and they want them completely regulated off the internet. They don’t hate memes because they are false. They hate memes because these little internet jokes reveal dark truths about the Democrats that they don’t want you to know.
